FOR SPACE ENTHUSIASTS AND AMATEUR ASTRONOMERS

Discover the universe with a global community of space enthusiasts.

Using Slooh’s research-grade telescopes and CCD cameras, you can capture celestial images, learn how to process your own astro images and conduct citizen science.

Learn how to create stunning astro images using fully calibrated FITS data in our image processing community, or carry out research including tracking and monitoring near-Earth asteroids, comets, or variable stars using astrometry and photometry.

Slooh is much more than online observatories. It is patented technology delivering the cosmos live and in full color. It is a telescope reservation system that makes shared control with a global community more social and educational, with advanced control for astro imagers and those interested in astrometry and photometry.
Australian Observatory
Launching in early 2024, Slooh's new Australian observatory will extend Slooh's live coverage to 24 hours per day. The observatory, located a stone's throw from the world-class Siding Spring Observatory, will house a new research-grade Half Meter telescope.
Chile Observatory
Slooh’s southern hemisphere observatory, in partnership with the Catholic University, features three telescopes offering complete coverage of the rich southern skies.
Slooh is your interface to space
Canary Islands Observatory
Slooh’s flagship observatory features six telescopes and is situated at 9,000 feet at the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands, home to the largest optical telescope in the world. The time zone shift makes daytime astronomy possible in the United States.

Go on Quests to explore the universe.

Learn about astronomy using Slooh’s self-directed learning activities called Quests. You’ll use our remote online telescope to replicate historic astronomical discoveries, learn about astronomical concepts, or capture classic image collections like the Messier collection.
"Have an hour or twenty?
